Temporary Foreign Worker Program

Labour Market Opinions valid for a maximum period of six months

Employers are advised that, as per the limited validity directive, all Labour Market Opinions (LMOs) expire six months after issuance. This means that if the worker has not applied for a work permit within those six months, the LMO is no longer valid and the employer must apply for a new LMO, if he/she still wishes to hire a foreign worker.
