Management Accountability Framework (MAF) - Round IV Departmental Assessments (2006-2007)

The Management Accountability Framework (MAF) is a set of 10 statements summarizing the Treasury Board Secretariat's (TBS) and the Canada Public Service Agency’s (CPSA) expectations for modern public service management.

TBS undertakes annual MAF assessments of most departments and agencies and engages deputy heads on specific management improvement actions and plans and ultimately publicly reporting on the state of management in those departments and agencies. Human Resources and Social Development Canada is committed to sound management, public accountability and demonstrating value for money to Canadians. The Management Accountability Framework is one of the tools that can help us achieve this goal.
