Minister Finley participates in the Paralympic Torch Relay Lighting Ceremony

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, March 3, 2010—The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Member of Parliament for Haldimand–Norfolk, participated in the Paralympic Torch Relay Lighting Ceremony that took place on Parliament Hill. The 10-day journey of the Paralympic flame will provide Canadians with an exciting opportunity to cheer on our Paralympic athletes and share in their dreams of winning gold.

Minister Finley launches new Employment Insurance Web videos to improve service to Canadians

SIMCOE, ONTARIO, February 22, 2010— The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, Regional Minister for Southwestern Ontario and Member of Parliament for Haldimand–Norfolk, at the official launch of self-help Web videos that will help unemployed Canadians apply for Employment Insurance on the Service Canada Web site.

Government of Canada supports skilled workers in Saskatchewan

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, February 10, 2010—The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, congratulated Saskatchewan apprentices who have benefited from the Apprenticeship Completion Grant and the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant, both of which help apprentices complete their training and increase the number of skilled workers.

Governments of Canada and Yukon assist unemployed workers
